In the lead-up to the event, UWA CSSE will run an intensive training programme in order to prepare contestants for the competition. There are two types of sessions: tutorial-like presentations on Wednesday nights, and mock competitions on Saturday mornings. Wednesday sessions introduce important algorithmic concepts via short informal presentations and selected worked examples. Saturday sessions act as mock competitions, providing contestants with valuable competition-like practice in teams. Wednesday sessions start at 5:30pm and last 3-4 hours; Saturday sessions start promptly at 10am and last 5 hours.
