CIG'08
IEEE Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Games

Perth, Australia
15 - 18 December 2008

This page details instructions about how to submit your final (camera-ready) copy of your accepted paper for the symposium. These instructions form the "Author Kit" for the symposium. Please follow these instructions step by step to ensure your paper is included in the final proceedings:

  1. All CIG'08 papers will be published online through IEEE Xplore. However, the IEEE has very stringent requirements for papers to be included in this system. CIG'08 has registered to use IEEE PDF eXpress (conference id: cig08x), an online service that allows authors to either convert their documents into IEEE Xplore-compliant PDFs or to test their own PDFs for IEEE Xplore compatibility.
  2. Following the instructions detailed in the automated notification email you received, submit your paper using your newly assigned password. Note that you can only submit your final camera-ready paper ONCE, so be sure to finalise all changes before submitting your camera-ready version. Final papers must be submitted by 15 October 2008. Note also that a paper must still be re-submitted even if the reviewers indicated that no changes were required.
  3. When you submit your final camera-ready paper through the paper submission system, ensure that the TITLE, AUTHORS, and ABSTRACT are entered EXACTLY in the system as written in your paper. Incorrect entries will result in papers being listed incorrectly in the final program.
  4. In order for your paper to be published in the symposium proceedings, a signed IEEE Copyright Form must be submitted for each paper. CIG'08 has registered to use the IEEE electronic Copyright Form (eCF) service. The confirmation page shown after submitting your camera-ready paper contains a button linking directly to a secure website that allows electronic completion of the copyright assignment process. If the automated system fails, please complete the IEEE Copyright Form found at http://www.ieee.org/web/publications/rights/copyrightmain.html and fax it to +61864881089. Please indicate the symposium name and your paper id on top of the copyright form.
  5. An accepted paper will only be published in the proceedings if at least one author registers for the symposium. Only full (non-student) registrations will be allowed for this purpose. One registration will cover the publication of up to TWO accepted papers. The deadline for author registration is 1 November 2008. Refer to the registration page for more information.

Your paper will only be included in the symposium proceedings iff:

  • it is resubmitted by 15 October 2008,
  • it is IEEE Xplore-compliant,
  • it is accompanied by a completed IEEE Copyright Form, and
  • at least one author registers (full registration) by 1 November 2008.
