    Structure and Responsibilities

    The Committee's responsibilities to the School are to

    • recognise, reward, and encourage good teaching,
    • (institute) and award the School Teaching Award,
    • foster undergraduate enrolments,
    • maintain the information in the faculty handbooks and courses booklets,
    • oversee the production of the School's annual teaching report,
    • prepare and review plans for the academic development of the School,
    • prepare and transmit cases for new and altered units to the faculties,
    • monitor undergraduate performance,
    • ensure the completeness of the School teaching database.

    In 2003, the Committee's membership is:

    • Chris McDonald (Chair, co-ordinator of our School's teaching in the BCM/BCompSc degrees and their combined degrees, School's representative on the FECM Undergraduate Teaching & Learning Committee),
    • Nick Spadaccini (Head of School),
    • Peter Kovesi (co-ordinator of our School's teaching in the BE(SE) and their combined degrees, co-ordinator of the Professional Practicum units),
    • Cara Macnish (co-ordinator of our School's teaching in the BSc and their combined degrees, certificates and Diplomas),
    • Gordon Royle (School's International Education Coordinator, School's representative at Faculty Board of Examiners' meetings),
    • Lyndon While (co-ordinator of our School's Honours programmes, co-ordinator of our School's teaching in the BE(SE) final year, co-ordinator of our School's teaching in MSc and Diplomas by Coursework programmes),
    • An elected student representative of BCM/BCompSc students.
    • An elected student representative of BE students.
