Examples of StarDDL/dREL Applications

The prototype dREL parser/compiler is currently being applied to trial StarDDL dictionaries in the fields of crystallography and plant taxonomy. These dictionaries are prototype StarDDL versions of the CIF Core dictionary and the DELTA Florabase dictionary.

It must be emphasised that this approach is completely generic and the StarDDL/dREL dictionaries are capable of describing, and deriving, any type of data. That is, neither the parser software nor the dictionary attributes need be customised to execute the compiled dictionaries and derive data defined in dREL methods.
